MAC Membership |
MAC is a grassroots effort that was begun to try and organize those groups and individuals with some stake in the Mahomet Aquifer. The goal was to work together to provide and gather the information necessary to properly manage and protect a vital resource, the Mahomet Aquifer. Since 2010, MAC has evolved into a group concerned with all water resources (surface water & groundwater) in a 15 county region in east-central Illinois.
These counties include Cass, Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, Iroquois, Logan, Macon, Mason, McLean, Menard, Piatt, Sangamon, Tazewell, Vermilion, and Woodford. Membership to the MAC is open to anyone or any group. But, if you become a member, be prepared to get involved. Only through continued effort by all of our members will the reality of attaining our goals be possible. To date, MAC has over 50 members.
Our members represent a diverse and interesting group of both public and private interests who believe that understanding and protecting the future of all water resources are critical to the continued high quality of life and development of east-central Illinois.
